Nominations must be for one of the eight (8) different award categories as shown on the Categories & Base Criteria page. Examples are provided of what might qualify a nominee for each award, however, these are for general guidance only. Each nomination will be assessed on its own merit, and relative to the context and supporting information provided.
The nominee must not object to being nominated for an Outstanding Honors & Awards. This will be verified through the nomination process.
All Public Officers, with the exception of teachers and contract officers are eligible to receive an Outstanding Honour and Award.
Teams may include two or more persons, as well as an entire Unit, Department or Ministry of the Public Service
Potential nominees, as well as those making nominations, must also meet the specific eligibility criteria outlined on the Categories & Base Criteria page.
Nominations may be made by anyone and includes self-nomination
Where individual or team nominate themselves, letters of support may not be submitted by the nominee;
Multiple nomination may be submitted by a nominator in any given year, however individuals or teams may only be nominated in a single award category in a particular year. If a nomination is not successful, it may be resubmitted for consideration in a following year.
