The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) has received funding from Global Environmental Facility (GEF) and has applied a part of those funds towards the implementation of the project entitled “Energy for Sustainable Development in the Caribbean (ESD).

As a key stakeholder, the Ministry of Public Service, Energy and Public Utilities is a direct beneficiary of the ESD project. Established within the Ministry of Public Service, Energy and Public Utilities, the Energy Unit, is tasked to plan, promote and effectively manage the production, delivery and use of energy through Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, and Cleaner Production interventions for the sustainable development of Belize.

The Energy Unit has identified the need to design a website which will be representative of its core operations and objectives as it currently has no website. The primary purpose is to serve as an online platform to disseminate information and promote dialogue, sharing and learning for all stakeholders including government, non-governmental organizations and academia.

Through the Energy for Sustainable Development in the Caribbean (ESD) project, funds have been designated for the design of a logo and development of a website for the Energy Unit.
